We all know there have been plenty of royal heartthrobs over the years (raise your hand if you had a poster of Prince William on your wall as a kid), but you’ve probably slept with one hot royal. Alexander Ogilvy is the grandson of Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth’s cousin, and it turns out he cut his teeth at the same military school that Prince Harry and Prince William attended.
Ogilvy, 27, is currently attending a grueling 44-week course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where many members of the royal family have attended over the years. In addition to Prince Harry and Prince William, who graduated from Sandhurst in 2006, the Duke of Kent also attended the British Military School.
The choice may come as a surprise to Alexander, once called “the sexiest British royal you’ve ever heard of,” who happens to be a Brown University grad who was previously married to Robert F. Kennedy’s daughter, Michaela Kennedy Cuomo, dated. Before attending Sandhurst College, he worked as a product manager at New York technology company Prove.
Sandhurst’s newest addition is Princess Alexandra’s son James Ogilvy, who was born in 1996, and Julia Rawlingsoe, who also has an older sister, Flora, whom she married Timothy in 2021 Westerberg held a stylish royal wedding. Despite their royal connection, the siblings enjoyed relatively normal childhoods, as neither had titles or formal royal duties (Alexander is currently 59th in line to the throne).
Flora, an art historian, shared her excitement about her brother’s military path on Instagram in September, writing: “We have so much admiration for you. Always thoughtful and inspiring. “
While his sister Flora made headlines in the art world, Alexander chose a more private path, although he occasionally appeared at select royal gatherings. Most recently, he attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022.
