What should you pay attention to when wearing a bathrobe?
Material: A lot of fabric will come into contact with your naked body, so you better make sure your robe feels good. Higher quality fabrics result in a higher price tag, but we found it’s worth it considering your entire body is about to be wrapped in it. When it comes to robes, cotton is the fabric of choice, and there are three common types: Egyptian cotton is the softest and plush, Turkish cotton is known for being quick-drying, and Supima cotton is just as soft as Egyptian cotton and has the same quick-drying properties. Properties are in Turkish. Finally, you’ll also see a lot of waffle braid, which is mostly a design choice. Not only does it have a certain look, we also like it because it’s extremely absorbent and dries quickly.
feature: Robes don’t offer much in terms of functionality, but at least find a robe with pockets. Two may be the norm, with some offering a precious third in the form of a breast pocket. A belt hides and secures everything underneath, while some robes offer the option of removing it. While this may not be a “feature,” we chose to highlight robes in a variety of prints, patterns, and colors because bone white robes aren’t very interesting for everyone.
sizing: Buying a robe is a lot like buying clothes: you need to find something that fits. We prefer to emphasize sizing-inclusive robes because there are so many sizes to choose from.
