Angelina Jolie continues to elevate the timeless all-black ensemble.
Friday, October 18, at Maria The actress and philanthropist made headlines during the 68th BFI London Film Festival at London’s Royal Festival Hall in a monochromatic black ensemble that subtly showed off her midriff.
The three-piece Dolce & Gabbana ensemble featured her partially unbuttoned waistcoat worn over a black blazer, adding a touch of femininity to a traditionally masculine look.
Jolie completed her red carpet look with black trousers and square-toe high-heeled boots, once again adding to Jolie’s history of experimenting with outdated gender stereotypes through fashion.
The elegant ensemble also revealed Jolie’s swallow tattoos – one of which was designed in memory of her children.

as Fashion Noting that Jolie chose to add a touch of style to the timeless style with a pair of Buccellati gold earrings, which feature a “teardrop-shaped pendant” that “features a diamond surrounded by an ornate engraved design.”
While Jolie is known for playing with so-called “menswear,” she’s also the queen of feminine elegance, which the actress has been working on while promoting her new movie, Maria.
At a recent New York screening of the critically acclaimed biopic, Jolie wore a vintage white gown that paid homage to her character and real-life opera singer Maria Callas. First made in 1956, the Madame Grès maxi dress has micro pleats and an asymmetrical bodice.
Jolie wore a similar old Hollywood glam look while attending this year’s awards show The 81st Venice International Film Festival. While walking the red carpet, the actress turned heads in a beige chiffon strapless gown custom designed by designer Tamara Ralph. She then finished the look with a faux fur shawl and a 1972 “Rose Ouvrante” pin, part of Callas’ impressive jewelry collection.
(Fun fact: Jolie also wore it throughout the movie.)

In a 2018 interview, Jolie discussed what femininity means to her and the various ways she approaches traditional gender roles, expression and fashion.
“[Femininity means] There are a lot of different things,” she said at the time. “There is no one version of femininity. It means different things at different times and in different places. It can be a certain level of tenderness and elegance, but it is also women marching or fighting for their own rights or the rights of others. Way.
