Taylor Swift’s lace Gucci bustier adds interest to classic camel coat for date night in New York

If there’s one piece that defines Taylor Swift’s current sartorial era, it’s the corset.

From the MTV VMAs (dressed in tartan) to the Chiefs game (dressed in more tartan, complete with sparkly freckles), Taylor Swift arrived in New York City on Friday, October 11, to perform in SoHo A surprise date. Her go-to for the night: a lace Gucci corset in lace and skin-toned fabric for a sheer effect, paired with a leather miniskirt.

Between these two pieces and her black leather Louis Vuitton ankle boots, Swift and stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer may have been paying homage to the original bad blood music video. But Swift was actually going on a date with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and her best couple friends, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Therefore, a classic fall camel coat from Ralph Lauren and soft Old Hollywood curls are more suitable to complete the spicy yet romantic look.

Her accessories for her first night back in New York incorporated some journey of times The mastermind’s all-time signature and her newfound favorite trends. Swift’s bright red lipstick made a comeback, as did a gold watch necklace similar to the one that had a thousand fans talking this summer. Meanwhile, on the arm that wasn’t entwined with Kelce’s was a new Dior saddle bag on display.

Kelce also brought his date night best: a Jacquemus polo shirt with a Matisse illustration, navy pants and white sneakers.
