7 Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 Trends

As the final stop on a month-long, multi-city tour of the fashion capital, Paris Fashion Week always ends on a strong note. Known for attracting the most forward-thinking, rocking designers, it’s also arguably the most important city when it comes to driving new trends.

With the entire industry looking to Paris for an early look at how people will be dressing in the coming seasons, some of the biggest trends for spring 2025 stand out.

The return of bohemian style

As the buzz around the millennium begins to fade, designers are starting to draw inspiration from the post-decade years, especially the celebrity-fueled “bohemian” craze. Given that Chloé and Isabel Marant were the original instigators of this trend, it’s no surprise that they’re leading the way again in 2024. Such as low-slung belts, flowy dresses, gladiator sandals and long dangling necklaces.

When the Parisian designers’ spring 2025 designs go into production, some of their makers may be confused, as many of them incorporate (intentional) imperfections into their clothes for a surrealist deconstruction . Examples: misaligned necklines at Vetements and Ottolinger, upside-down tops at Acne and Paloma Wool, and jackets at Hermés and Uma Wang that seemed to button asymmetrically at the sides or back.

Graphic materials

From Miu Miu to Ganni to Loewe, designers have used graphics and logos to add a casual, personal touch to their collections—even though many in the industry believe streetwear has fallen out of favor.

No shirt, no problem

The rise of corporate hardcore has resulted in collections filled with beautifully tailored blazers and other jackets. Perhaps so as not to compromise their structure, several designers in Paris chose not to wear anything while showing. Often, they are also left unbuttoned, giving a wonky, sexy look that’s more common in men’s clothing.

80s power shoulder

Speaking of tailoring, slouchy silhouettes were all the rage at the Paris Spring 2025 shows. Instead, designers lengthened and thickened the shoulders of jackets, tops and dresses for a distinctly ’80s aesthetic. Saint Laurent led the charge, but Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Patou and others also got the memo. If you’re putting a lot of pressure on your shoulders, you’re already stuck in a head-down position.

Dots (lots of them)

After sporadic appearances in polka dots during previous fashion weeks, Parisian designers have confirmed they will become a trend for spring. Valentino and Nina Ricci went for head-to-toe polka dots, while Acne Studios and Paloma Wool incorporated them more subtly.

All types of stripes

Stripes may be a classic pattern, but when we see so many designers — from Chanel to Louis Vuitton to Vaquera — incorporating them so deliberately into their collections , we know a trend is forming. From pinstripes to nautical stripes to rugby stripes and everything in between, the styles on the spring 2025 Paris runways were diverse.
