Even outside the White House, former first lady Michelle Obama remains one of the best-dressed politicians of the 21st century. Her latest look backs up that claim: On Saturday in Pennsylvania, Obama wore head-to-toe Sergio Hudson at a campaign rally with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. clothing.
“Last night our Forever FLOTUS @michelleobama wore a custom 3-piece pinstripe suit inspired by the Sergio Hudson SS25 menswear, dressing this stunning superwoman that will never go out of style,” Hudson wrote on Instagram. (Obama wore the designer to his 2021 presidential inauguration and other occasions.)
Designed by Meredith Koop, this gray suit consists of a shoulder-padded blazer, a low-rise bodice and wide-leg slacks. Accessorize the suit with simple drop earrings, a collection of chunky silver rings and nude heels. Smokey eyeshadow and nude lips, along with her long, loose curls, completed her look.
Given its menswear tones, we can’t help but notice that the look would fit nicely with next year’s Black Playboy-themed Costume Institute exhibition. (Stylists, take notes from the Met Gala red carpet.)
As Election Day approaches, Obama’s recent appearances have galvanized voters both politically and sartorially.
But honestly, please vote.
