MSCHF senior fashion designer
As a Senior Costume Designer at MSCHF, you will be an integral part of the design team, responsible for developing collection concepts and apparel designs. You will manage the design process, assist with product development and contribute to design direction. You must be able to regularly prepare fully realized SKU demos for approval.
About the role:
● Develop new innovative designs based on senior leadership as Creative Director.
● Must be able to adapt to self-direction and independent work to create the most effective costume design structure for this project.
● Create sketches, illustrations and technical drawings for all apparel designs.
● Conduct research on trends, color palettes, fabrics and clothing styles.
● Assist in sourcing and selecting fabrics, trimmings and embellishments suitable for garment prototyping and production.
● Participate in sample reviews and fitting meetings to provide feedback on fitting, construction and design details.
● Must be able to effectively communicate design concepts from high-level to technology and ideas to team members.
● Understand and maintain the design aesthetic and language of all products.
● Prepare trend briefs and mood boards to inform the design process.
About you:
● At least 5 years of industrial design experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design preferred
●Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
● Must be proficient in hand drawing and illustration
● Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
● Ideally you live in New York City, if you are remote you must operate during EST time zone business hours
Salary range:
US$90,000 to US$120,000
