Next came a routine sound check with her band. “The most important thing I do before a show is a vocal warm-up,” said Abrams, who played several songs with her band. She says that at this point in her career, touring and all its idiosyncrasies is a way of life. “Since I started touring a few years ago, that’s how I time my time now, rather than months or seasons,” she said.
With the show counting down, Abrams headed to the dressing room for a quick fitting session with stylist Spencer Singer. The pair ultimately chose an elegant Chanel dress with a plunging neckline, seersucker, floral and sequin details. “I like to wear whatever makes me feel the best,” says Abrams, Chanel’s new brand ambassador for Coco Crush. “I love the feeling that I can move and breathe. Tonight’s look is glamorous; [We wanted] Something that would sparkle under the lights of Radio City. After all the glam, it was finally time to take the stage, where Abrams performed hits like “Close To You” and “I Love You, I’m Soon” to legions of adoring fans.
