Bella Hadid wears new Sorel x Proenza Schouler mules

You probably don’t want to hear this, but winter is coming, so enjoy these beautiful fall days while you can. But while doing so, it’s also wise to prepare for the colder months ahead. Shoes are a great place to start, and this pair from Bella Hadid can inspire you to buy your first pair of winter shoes.

There’s nothing the fashion crowd loves more than when a designer brand collaborates with an unexpected and unrelated brand (think Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik, Gucci x The North Face, and Miu Miu x New Balance). The latest popular example is Sorel x Proenza Schouler. Portland-based outdoor shoe brand (Sorel) is known for its practical yet stylish winter boots, paired with everyone’s favorite cool old-school New York brand (Proenza Schouler). The result is a pair of leather and rubber boots based on Sorel’s signature Caribou Chelsea boots, as well as leather mules based on its Caribou mules, which remind me of Bella Hadid.

Hadid was just photographed in West Hollywood, wearing black mules with a white tank top and a brown bomber jacket underneath shorts, for a very non-winter shoe style. But once winter hits, I predict every New York fashion girl will be picking up shoes to fight the muddy city streets.
