International burlesque performer and fitness instructor Jake DuPree knows how to make everyone laugh so hard you’ll almost forget you’re working out! In this remix, we combine two of DuPree’s challenging workouts, including an oblique workout and a cardio barbell circuit. First, Dupree performed a 15-minute oblique workout with help from Madisyn Maniff and Gina Gonsalves, no equipment required. See the Maniff to the right for beginner-friendly modifications throughout the course.
In the second part of the group fitness class, Dupree took the audience through an exciting 30-minute cardio barre class that also featured Ellie Aviles and Nikita Chowdhury. Aviles shows off the modification process on the right side of the screen, while Chowdhury shows off an all-out move on the left.
This energizing workout combines high-energy cardio and barre moves to keep you active. You’ll focus on your lower body, core, and arms, while also getting plenty of work on your glutes.
At the end of the class, Dupree leads a relaxation routine that includes split stretches and yoga-infused moves like downward dog and pigeon pose.
DuPree reminds everyone that they can pause the class at any time and everyone is welcome to attend, take a break if needed, and then rejoin at their own pace. Classes require no equipment, just a mat and a small amount of room to move around. Get ready to sweat, laugh, and smile in this high-energy class!
For an extra challenge, you can choose to increase the intensity by mixing in a bit of resistance. Check out these 2 lb. PS Ankle and Wrist Weights ($20) or 4 lb. PS Ankle and Wrist Weights ($30).
