I’ve only used magnetic lashes once because eyeliner and I don’t usually wear them together – at least not yet. Every time I tried, my hands seemed to have a mind of their own and I would eventually get frustrated and give up. We’re not even talking about applying glue to your lashes. All my friends have always told me that practice makes perfect, but the perfectionist in me wants to do it right on the first try, but that’s not the case. When I got the chance to review Glamnetic’s viral magnetic lashes, I knew it was the push I needed to finally learn how to wear eyeliner. I tested four magnetic lashes—Glamnetic’s Virgo Lashes ($30), VIP Lashes ($30), Venus Lashes ($30), Baby Girl Lashes ($30)—and I also used the brand’s black magnetic lashes Eyeliner ($38).

I did try applying the eyeliner and lashes myself, and although my application was a mess, the lashes held up well and looked better than I expected. So, for all the girls out there who have trouble applying eyelashes or eyeliner, this is the product for you.

Why I love Glamnetic Magnetic Eyelashes + Magnetic Eyeliner

First and foremost, although they are magnetic, after some manipulation the lashes will slide into place so they are exactly where you want them. I didn’t expect them to feel so safe. I also appreciate that some of the lashes I received included a small lash anchor for added security. This is a small cluster of lashes that you place on the underside of the magnetic lashes to hold them in place more securely. While I didn’t try it because lashes are safe enough for me, I appreciate the thoughtfulness behind this addition.

I also love how natural all the lashes look. Once they’re on, I can’t tell they’re magnetic – that’s the beauty of this product. Honestly, that’s what sold it to me! Even though I’m an eyeliner beginner, it was a seamless process. I also like that you can easily change out the lashes if you want to try a new set. In the past, when I glued my eyelashes on, I was afraid of taking them off. But with magnetic lashes, you just pull them off without damaging your natural lashes.

How to use Glamnetic Magnetic Lashes + Magnetic Eyeliner

First, shake the magnetic eyeliner, making sure the tip is saturated with product. Then, apply eyeliner to the upper lash line. I didn’t wear winged eyeliner, but that depends on your personal preference. Next, grab the magnetic lashes of your choice and place them along the area where you’ll be lining your eyes. Place it as close to your natural lashes as possible to ensure a seamless look. If you find a gap between your natural lashes and magnetic lashes, pull them down and adjust them to your liking.

What to consider before trying Glamnetic Magnetic Lashes + Magnetic Eyeliner

Honestly, my only reservation about trying magnetic lashes and eyeliner is the eyeliner. Because I’m a very beginner, I thought it would be difficult to attach the lashes to my shoddy eyeliner job after trying it myself – but it wasn’t.

Who is Glamnetic Magnetic Eyelashes + Magnetic Eyeliner suitable for?

I think I’ve proven that for anyone who wants to try magnetic lashes, it’s the best no matter what your skill level is! If you like a 10 or 15 minute makeup routine and think applying lashes the traditional way (with glue) takes up too much of your time, then Glamnetic lashes are definitely for you. If you are a seasoned professional, then putting them on will be easy.
