Spring 2025 Fashion Month may be “over,” but the fashion shows are really just the first step in a complex process that ends with the designs we see (or some version of them) ending up in stores. After presenting their new collections, designers enter the marketing phase – inviting buyers into their showrooms to place orders for the following season.
In turn, buyers must cut through the noise and focus on the brands, trends and pieces that are most likely to resonate with customers. So, as we do every season, we asked key womenswear buyers at a number of influential multi-brand retailers, including e-commerce giants Ssense and Net-a-Porter, as well as independent boutiques Essx and Antidote, The looks of these garments always catch their eye during New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.
Their answers were as unique as their customers, but overall, there was a lot of interest in premium denim (particularly from Simone Rocha), sexy lingerie-inspired details and clean all-white suits. Keep scrolling to see what buyers purchased at the Spring 2025 runway shows.
