See Ariana Grande’s pink bustier on ‘SNL’

and evilThe highly-anticipated release is coming and you bet Ariana Grande will show up to her saturday night live Host the show as Glinda the Good Witch. What we didn’t expect, however, was the high-fashion twist she gave Glinda’s princess style.

Grande, who was hosting the show for the second time, took to the stage to deliver her opening monologue, wearing a bright pink bustier silk dress from the Thierry Mugler archives, provided by vintage dealer Lily et Cie. The corset – which debuted at the iconic fashion designer’s autumn/winter 1982 show – was worn by models with opera gloves and pointed-toe pumps.

Grande, for her part, ditched the gloves and instead accessorized with a pair of matching pink velvet pumps and diamond jewelry. She pulled her blonde hair back into a sleek bun and completed her glamor look with soft pink makeup, which included glossy lips, rosy cheeks and shimmery eyelids.

During her monologue, Grande promised not to talk about evilbut managed to sneak in a joke about her playing Glinda. “This year has been great. I get to play Glinda in the show evil movie, which is great because I was a theater kid and it’s every theater kid’s dream to play Glinda or Elphaba,” she said before delivering the punchline. “Well, every theater kid dreams of losing their virginity, but of course their second dream is evil”.
