Duchess Kate’s brother has opened up about the Middleton family’s rodeo nights and how Prince William will find ways to avoid attending.
In a recent interview with Emily Dean walking the dog podcast, James Middleton said that when he first started dating Kate Middleton, the future King of England would “find excuses” to pull out of match nights. daily mail Report.
When James was 13, his sister started dating the Prince of Wales, who, according to James, would “come over for dinner,” which inevitably led to a game of cards.
“It was after family dinner and we would sit there and the cards would come out and [Prince William] Maybe see if Ella needs a walk or an excuse to get off the table,” James said, referring to his brother-in-law’s excuses for leaving family games.
“Racing Demons is probably the fastest-paced, most competitive game we’ve played together,” he continued.

For the uninitiated, Racing Demons is a competitive version of the popular card game Patience or Solitaire, which the Prince of Wales is apparently not a fan of.
In his new book, Meet Ella: The dog who saved my life, James Describes how his four-legged best friend gave Prince William an excuse to leave when a friendly match got heated.
“Ella gives [William] It’s a great excuse to escape the rat race of the Middleton family, and that essence comes out every time we play our favorite fast-paced card game, Racing Demons,” he wrote.
“William recoiled at our ruthless determination to win at all costs. He was delighted to be the first out and would sneak off to hug Ella when no longer forced to attend,” James continued, and Adding that he believed Prince William would “prefer” to miss the game entirely.
According to James, Prince William would often ask Ella if she wanted a walk “before we started dealing the cards.”
