When you think of Parisian fashion, the first things that probably come to mind are sleek silhouettes and neutral tones. But on the streets of Paris Fashion Week this season, showgoers challenged that notion, incorporating bright pops of color into many of their looks, the most common example of which was red.
Accessories proved to be the most popular way to work, with a variety of strong, vibrant shades of red. Creative tote bags, bows, mid-heeled shoes and chunky sunglasses in crimson, poppy, fire engine and crimson hues added a touch of pizzazz to attendees’ grayscale ensembles.
Others decide to wear the color in a more personal way. Through monochromatic tracksuits, ragdoll-like furry jackets, opaque leggings and long leather trench coats, the Parisian fashion crowd has made it clear their go-to colors for the season.
