Sienna Miller is one of the few celebrities I would trade places with for this day. Not only did it finally take root in her wardrobe (something I’ve long admired), but it also took part in some of the glittering events in her diary. Press conferences, appearances, and parties all happen on weekdays, and the thing I want to steal the most is Miller’s jam-packed schedule. exhausted? I’m sure. Exciting? I’m sure.
As I spent last night on the couch, I discovered that Miller attended two of the evening’s invitation-only events. The host squeezed a weekend of socializing into Thursday night by stopping by Selfridges for a Tiffany & Co. cocktail party before heading to every A-lister’s favorite restaurant, the Chiltern Firehouse. Most of us would probably panic about what to wear to an event like this, but socializing with other celebrities is what Miller does best, and her wardrobe is more than ready to see her through it.
At a Tiffany & Co. event at Selfridges, Miller paired a long denim dress with a black leather trench coat. What intrigued me the most was her choice to wear a controversial shoe trend – as always, she proved she’s always one step ahead of everyone else when it comes to style. Bottom peek.
Black pointed-toe lace-up boots peeked out from under her skirt, and high heels added some height to her look. This bold boot strikes the perfect balance between polished and unpredictable, making the entire boot perfect for fun and flashy occasions.
Now, if I hadn’t seen a second photo of Miller later in the evening, I wouldn’t have known that the boots actually extended far beyond her ankles, all the way to her mid-thigh. Later that night, Miller wore the same pair to another event in central London, where she paired the over-the-knee boots with a sheer black dress embellished with gold sequins. A playful alternative to heels for a night out, Miller’s choice of shoes is perfect for evening wear and will complement London’s puddle-strewn sidewalks.
In fact, I’m not surprised to see Miller launching over-the-knee boots this week. Over-the-knee boots are all over Chloé’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection (among many others), and we already know she’s one of the brand’s biggest fans. While this style may be intimidating to some, Miller proves that this trend is more wearable than it looks.
