For the longest time, I was convinced that moisturizer was the last thing my extremely oily skin needed. After all, I want my skin to look less My face was greasy, so I bought a lot of products that promised to eliminate greasiness, applied special oil-control makeup, and carried oil-absorbing papers with me everywhere. In short, my skin barrier was compromised.
Since then, I’ve corrected my skincare mistakes and dove into the world of ceramide moisturizers and hydrating serums (which, much to the shock of my past self, actually helped minimize my oil secretion). In my ever-growing arsenal of moisturizing products, Innisfree’s Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Acid Cream stands out as my skin barrier savior (and my favorite part of my nightly skincare routine).
It contains green tea seed oil, squalane and ceramides as well as a barrier complex of five hyaluronic acids that instantly made my skin feel calm and hydrated. One of my biggest pet peeves about moisturizers is heavy textures that leave a sticky residue, but this product has a feather-light consistency that sinks into my skin easily. Innisfree knows how to hydrate right: The Korean beauty brand grows its own beauty green tea in Jeju Island, South Korea, and infuses the amino acid-rich ingredient into its cleansing foam, serum, roll-on eye serum, and more in the product.
My favorite thing about Innisfree Cream, besides the extra hydration, is the instant glowing effect it gives my skin. It’s not fleeting, either: I woke up with radiant, bouncy skin, a major plus for a chronic side sleeper.
There are few products that I hoard like the Skin Care Elf, but this has officially earned a spot in my skin care arsenal.
