Stassi Schroeder is firmly supporting J. Lo amid the star’s divorce from Ben Affleck.
when Vanderpump Rules Alum appears in Not thin but not fat During an Oct. 1 podcast hosted by Amanda Hirsch, the host asked Schroeder if she felt bad about the “hate” Jenifer Lopez received during her split from the company lost lover actor.
“Oh, 100 percent,” the TV star responded (excerpted from US Weekly). “Because I also think Ben Affleck is a big part of the problem. He can never smile in a photo with her. He always has to make it look like she’s pushing him [miserable]”.
Then she doubled down, “You walk the red carpet – smile! Or don’t walk. Because the narrative now is that when you see a photo, he’s miserable. She’s not. So of course, people are just going to say, ‘J. Lo must be giving him a lot of pain,’ and it’s like… you know what, Ben?
Throughout the stars’ two-year marriage, fans often accused Alfred of appearing sad, bored or angry during public appearances with his wife.
This especially came to a head when the couple attended the Grammy Awards together in February 2023, with Affleck’s expression of utter anguish quickly becoming an online meme.
Lopez even joked later that it was “my husband’s happy face.”
Earlier this year, actor Kevin Hart bravely asked Affleck about his “still bitch face,” which the father-of-three blamed on his dislike of being in the spotlight . “I also don’t like too much attention,” he explains. “That’s why people see me and ask, ‘Why is this guy always angry?’ Because someone takes a camera and sticks it in my face, and I’m like, ‘Okay, let’s do it.
